Indicium AI's momentum in Europe is accelerating, and the go-to-market engine behind it now has a new leader after Nick Curran recently joined as European Sales Director. He brings a career spent in high-growth businesses, and a track record of winning and scaling major transformational deals with some of the largest enterprises in the world.
His arrival comes at a pivotal moment. Enterprises across Europe are moving beyond AI pilots and license rollouts towards redesigning entire business processes - and Nick is here to make sure Indicium AI is set up to lead that shift.
A career built on getting ahead of the next disruption
Nick has built his career at the heart of financial services. From 2015 to 2023, he worked at a global technology services firm, rising from one of its first financial services salespeople to Global Financial Services Sales Director, contributing meaningfully to the growth of the business on a global scale. There, he helped the biggest financial services companies in the UK and US build critical banking, payments and insurance platforms. He also launched its Middle East and North Africa business from Dubai as the first employee on the ground.
Later, he led EMEA sales at a digital consultancy investing heavily in data and AI, with a focus on strategic financial services clients. He then became Chief Commercial Officer at a global technology firm focused on agentic SDLC, working closely with AWS, Databricks and Anthropic.
"My career has all been about working in high-growth organizations and getting ahead of the next big disruptive trend," Nick says. "And I think Indicium AI is doing that amazingly well."
Why Indicium AI
"I'd always heard of Indicium AI as the disruptor - the partner that came in and won the deal," Nick says. "I now see that that's because we're an AI-native business with the best talent in the market. We're all about lean teams of experts that launch AI across critical enterprise platforms in weeks."
The Anthropic partnership was another major draw, as was the client base. "The logos we have in financial services and energy in the UK are really impressive, and the work we're doing is even more impressive - we’re leading the most complicated AI programs for these businesses." Recent examples include work with LSEG Risk Intelligence and SEFE.
Showing enterprises the art of the possible
For Nick, what sets Indicium AI apart starts with the proven track record: some of the most complex AI projects in production today, across insurance, banking, wealth and energy. "We've trodden the path," he says, "so we know how to bring an organisation together around one common goal quickly."
Then there are the people - "the very best, who've been doing the most complicated AI work in cutting-edge organisations", and the Anthropic relationship, built early by Indicium AI's partnerships and Applied AI teams. "We're in an incredible position to see and experience disruption literally as it's happening, which makes us very well equipped to help other organisations adapt."
There’s also the pace of the technology itself. "A new solution, platform or product is launched every two weeks now. It takes a lot of businesses a long time to adapt to that pace of change." That's the gap Indicium AI closes for its enterprise clients, so they can keep up without navigating it on their own.
Taking the playbook across Europe
Nick believes the financial services AI transformation in Europe has only just begun. "Six months ago, it was about adopting AI, getting people onto licenses," he says. "Now we're seeing business processes completely redesigned, and that needs scalability and forward deployment, which we do exceptionally well."
With AI-native challengers raising the bar, incumbents on older platforms will need to move quicker and think differently. “Working side-by-side with Anthropic, we take AI from pilot to production at scale and deliver group-wide AI adoption for clients in the most heavily regulated industries. That specialist focus, and ability to realize business outcomes, has resulted in unique growth in the UK and across Europe.”
